The invention relates to a retaining device 3 for electrical apparatuses 4 which are provided with sliding feet 2 on their four corners. In the case of electrical and electronic apparatuses, assembly units are pivoted into different positions for maintenance. In consequence, the centre of gravity of the apparatus is displaced, so that these measures can lead to tipping of the apparatus. In order to reduce the risk of tipping, the invention provides that the base surface 1 of in each case two sliding feet 2 which are arranged one behind the other in the displacement direction be inclined inwards and upwards in an inclined manner with respect to one another in order to move the tipping point to the outer edge of the apparatus. The invention can be used wherever retaining devices for electrical apparatuses are equipped with adjusting feet. <IMAGE>
