<p>The rowing boat oar comprises a handle and a blade hingeable w.r.t. each other mounted on a frame. It in turn hinges on the gunwale of the boat on an axis at right angles to that of the oar components. The handle (10) and blade (11) are coupled together by two bars (14,15), hinging respectively at one end on handle and oar, and together at the other. One bar (14) slides in a guide (22) on the frame. The hinge points of the bars on handle and blade can be adjustable.</p> |
