4-Amino 6-methoxy 1-phenyl pyridazine methyl sulphate is made by reacting dimethyl sulphate with 4-amino 1-phenyl 6-pyridazone and, before isolating by crystallisation, eliminating the excess dimethyl sulphate from the reaction by fixation with amines.
