PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an attaching/detaching device for a portable terminal preventing data stored in the portable terminal device from being destroyed, even if it is ejected manually. SOLUTION: This attaching/detaching device is equipped with a lock lever 1c for locking an eject button 1b and a detection switch 1d for detecting the motion of the lock lever, and by operating the lock lever, the detection switch is turned on while the lock of the eject button is released and allowed to be operated. A CPU in a station can perform termination processing during a time period after the detection switch is turned on until the eject button is depressed, and it becomes possible to depress the eject button after the completion of the termination processing. Therefore, when a portable terminal device 2 is detached from the station 1 by depressing the eject button, data stored in the portable terminal device 2 is prevented from being destroyed.
