PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC plasma display panel which is restrained in generation of brightness unevenness of display and erroneous display. SOLUTION: Plural maintenance electrodes 4a, 4c and scanning electrodes 5 which are covered with a dielectric layer 2 and a protecting membrane 3 are parallelly provided on a first insulation substrate 1. The sustaining electrode 4a, the scanning electrode 5 and the sustaining electrode 4b are formed in order so as to construct a set of electrodes, and plural sets of the electrodes are parallelly provided. Plural data electrodes 7 are provided on a second insulation substrate 6, and moreover plural barrier ribs are parallelly provided to the data electrode 7 between the plural data electrodes 7, and a phosphor 9 is provided on the plural data electrodes 7 and at the side surface of the barrier rib 8. The first insulation substrate 1 and the second insulation substrate 6 are oppositely disposed so that the sustaining electrode 4a, the scanning electrode 5, the sustaining electrode 4b and the data electrode 7 may cross at the right angle so.
