PURPOSE:To both substantially decrease the capacity of a main motor and easily perform shearing, by connecting a rotating flywheel with and disconnecting it from the main motor so as to compensate its energy required for shearing a material to be shorn. CONSTITUTION:Flywheels 24, 25 are continually rotated by a helper motor 26, accumulating inertial energy. A shearing machine, when it shears a material 23 to be shorn, drives main motors 1, 2, and if the flywheel is connected with either of an output shaft of the main motor or a driving gear group by engaging a clutch 30, 31 immediately before or after upper and bottom drums 19, 20 are acceleratively driven through the driving gear group 7-18, the inertial energy accumulated in the flywheel can be utilized as accelerating or shearing energy of the drum 19, 20. |
