<p>Compsn. is made by (a) gathering roots of Eryngium campestre L. (or running thistle); (b) washing with water to remove impurities; (c) comminuting to pieces of 3 mm size; (d) immersing 375 g root in 1 l olive oil, previously heated to 150 deg.C, and keeping at this temp. for 20 mins.; (e) screening the extract to separate suspended particles; and (f) bottling. - The prod. is free from corticoids and local anaesthetic, and is suitable for treating external and internal haemorrhoids.</p> |
