PRODUCTION OF AQUEOUS GEL LAMINATE ROLL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce an aq. gel laminate roll with high water content while preventing protrusion sufficiently at the time of taking-up without performing seasoning. SOLUTION: An aq. gel laminate roll is produced by a coating process for coating a base material with an aq. gel compsn. containing a water soluble polymer, a crosslinking agent capable of crosslinking the water soluble polymer under heating and water as constituents and containing water in an amt. of 70-95 wt.% on the basis of all of the constituents, a heating process for heating the aq. gel compsn. not only to crosslink the water soluble polymer but also to dry the aq. gel compsn. so as to bring the water content thereof to 45-90 deg. by wt. of all of the constituents to obtain an aq.gel laminate and a process for taking up the aq. gel laminate in a roll form.
