PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission belt formed of a rubber composition composed mainly of a less sticky rubber, and a method for manufacturing the transmission belt. SOLUTION: Materials are set in a cylindrical mold through a sequence of steps such as a canvas setting step to set a barrel-shaped canvas treated to be adhesive with a mucilage in place over a cylindrical mold, a reinforcing cord setting step to wind the reinforcing cord spirally over the barrel-shaped canvas and a cylindrical rubber setting step to cover the reinforcing cord with a cylindrical rubber consisting of an unvulcanized rubber composition from right above.
