The connector secures two plates of metal or plastics together at right angles. It comprises a stem (2) integral with a head. A saw cut in the stem accommodates one of the plates (43), while the head has a cylindrical hole. - Components (8,8) fitting in the hole form both an expander and a seal. The hole can be arranged to extend part-way into the stem and it can be in line with the saw cut, while the components can be cylinders with spherical ends.
