PURPOSE: The monitor/printer color matching apparatus is provided to control the matching of the printer and the colors automatically and interactively in response to the intensity of illumination in the circumference. CONSTITUTION: A computer system(50) provides a RGB signal to an LCD controller and receives color information controlled through the USB(Universal Standard Bus). An LCD controller includes an analog digital converter(52), a frame buffer(54), a memory(56), a control logic(58), a microprocessor(62), an LCD control unit(64), an illuminating sensor(68) and an LCD driving unit(70). The analog digital converter(52) performs a sampling process of the RGB signal with a predetermined sampling frequency as a PLL(Phase Lock Loop) method. The sampling frequency is determined according to the horizontal and vertical resolution of the monitor. The frame buffer(54) inputs and outputs the digital image data as a unit of first out method. The sensor(68) detects the intensity of illumination.
