OXYGEN ABSORPTION PACKAGE

An oxygen-absorbent package has two outer and one intermediate layer all of the porous plastics, with an oxygen absorbent between one pair of layers. The intermediate layer is gas permeable, has a lower softening point than the outer layers, and is simultaneously heat- sealed to the outer layers around the peripheral edges only. The outer layers are gas-permeable and water-impermeable, and consist of microporous film or nonwoven fabric sheet with a permeability of 0.01-10,000 seconds per 100 ml of air.
