Pump with peristaltic action

The pump with peristaltic action and pulsed flow is fitted with an elastic tube (5) which is placed in a pressure chamber (1), where it is subjected to a liquid or pneumatic shock wave. The latter leads to a peristaltic movement which progressively deforms the tube thus propelling its contents which may be a biological medium, a high viscosity medium, a pasty medium, an abrasive medium or a powder. An auxiliary chamber (2) operating on the same principles functions as a valve and makes it possible to avoid moving pieces inside the flow. <IMAGE>
