PURPOSE:To obtain a device which permits high-speed sweep of high accuracy with a device for executing linked scanning by referring the electric field intensity corresponding to the detected magnetic field intensity to a table and controlling digitally the electric field. CONSTITUTION:A reversely disposed double focusing mass spectrometer is constituted of an ion source 1, a magnetic field 2, an electric field 3 and an ion detector 4. An excitation power source 5 supplies excitation current to an electromagnet forming the magnetic field 2. The intensity of the magnetic field 2 is detected by a Hall element 6 and the detected information is fed to a computer 7. The computer 7 reads the output of the element 6, reads out the data of the electric field intensity corresponding to aid magnetic field intensity from the preset table and outputs the data to a voltage generator 8. The generator 8 generates the voltage corresponding to the data and impresses the same to the electrode for forming the electric field 3. The ions generated in the source 1 collide against the molecules of the colliding gas in a collision chamber 9 and are liable to induce cleavage reaction. |
