A press with a box frame and an arbitrary hydraulic-, mechanical- or other drive, said frame consisting of two parts and preferably symmetrical and forming after connection a closed box provided with holes enabling an access to the pressing plate of the press. The parting plane of both parts of the frame is parallel to a direction (6) of the working motion of a press slide (7). The slide (7) in a form of a box is slidably mounted in guides (10) fixed to the inner surfaces of parts of the press frame. Guides (10) and possibly an upper plate (13) are at the same time elements connecting both parts of the press frame. In the parting plane of parts and of the press frame there are grooves (8) with slats (9) protecting against mutual displacement of parts of the frame in the parting plane. |
