PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional demodulator has wrongly corrected transmission high-order information bits because the transmission high-order information bits are estimated through hard decision of a received signal point 26 although transmission low-order information bits can accurately be estimated. SOLUTION: The demodulation method of this invention includes a coset estimate step where low-order bits are estimated from a logarithmic likelihood ratio of the low-order information bits, parity bits are estimated from a logarithmic likelihood of the parity bits, and a coset is estimated from the low-order information bits and the parity bits and a high-order information bit estimate step where a transmission signal point is estimated from the coset and the high-order information bits are estimated from the transmission signal point. |
