PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device where a troublesome operation requiring labor and time for extracting jammed transfer paper of a body to be transferred that was abnormally carried in a transfer means when an image forming action is stopped due to generation of jamming of the body to be transferred that is carried abnormally. SOLUTION: The device is constituted from an image carrier 1 that is rotated while carrying a formed toner image, a transfer means 2 transferring the toner image carried on the image carrier 1 to the body to be transferred P, a bringing near and separating means 3 by which the transfer means 2 is brought near to or separated from a toner image carrying surface carrying the toner image on the image carrier 1 and a bringing near and separating state detection means 4 carrying out detection of the state of bringing near and separating of the transfer means 2 in the abnormal carrying of the body to be transferred P by the bringing near and separating means 3. |
