PURPOSE:To prevent a speed change shock at the time of releasing lock-up state by detecting the increase of engine speed after a speed change command, and lowering an output of the engine according to the detection signal in case of releasing the lock-up state to avoid idling of the engine. CONSTITUTION:In response to a speed change command from an automatic speed change gear, a change of an engine speed is detected by engine speed change rate detection means. When the engine speed starts to rise, it can be judged to be in the state of releasing lock-up state, so that at the point of time, an output of the engine is lowered. Thus, idling of the engine in the lock-up state during speed change operation can be prevented to lessen a shock produced by the subsequent speed change. |
