PURPOSE:To increase the detection signal level thus to improve the reliability of abnormality detection in micro-diameter tool by assembling AE sensor directly into the tool holder. CONSTITUTION:AE sensor 6 is secured while contacting against the direct grasping section 4 of tool 15 to take out AE signal from AE sensor 6 through rotary signal connector 3 to the side of supporting housing 15 secured to spindle housing 25. Since AE signal from AE sensor 6 is taken out through rotary signal connector 3 to the supporting housing 15 side, AE signal from a tool 5 will be transmitted only through the direct grasping section 4 contacting against AE sensor 6, thereby AE signal is transmitted easily and the damping of signal can be reduced considerably. |
