PURPOSE:To enable to unify the soft width and border width of an output waveform irrespective of the kind of waveform by controlling the amplitude of a waveform according to the kind of synthesized waveform. CONSTITUTION:Saw tooth wave or triangular wave generated in horizontal and vertical synchronizing fundamental wave generating circuits 1, 2 are synthesized by addition or non-addition in a waveform synthesizing circuit 3 to make waveform synthesizing. The synthesized waveform is sliced in a slicing circuit 4 by a fader controlling signal. An amplitude controlling circuit 6 receives waveform information and amplitude controls output of the circuit 4 according to the kind of waveform. For instance, when the amplitude of saw tooth is outputted in one time as shown in (a), it is made 1/2 times as shown in (b), and the inclination of the waveform is unified. As the waveform signal and border signal are obtained by clipping an amplitude controlled output at the upper and lower parts in a waveform shaping circuit 5, the soft width and border width become constant independently of waveform.
