The present invention relates to a device and method for sampling and collecting solid materials stacked in the particulate state. The sampling device comprises a drawing-off probe 1 connected to a receptacle 2 which collects the sample, which probe comprises two coaxial tubes 3, 4 connected together in a leakproof manner. The annular space separating the tubes 3, 4 is connected to a pressurised fluid source. The free lower end of the tube 4 is disposed such that it is set back with respect to that of the tube 3. The upper end 41 of the tube 4 penetrates inside the receptacle 2 in order to convey therein the particles drawn off under the effect of the said pressurised fluid.
