PURPOSE:To keep an electrostatic recording paper conveying means and an electrostatic recording head clean by providing a means which wipes out an excessive liquid developer between the electrostatic recording paper conveying means, and the 1st developing device and a developing device which is closest to the electrostatic recording head. CONSTITUTION:The electrostatic recording head 12 operates so as to form a latent image on electrostatic recording paper 11 and starts forming the latent image at a point B. At this time, the recording paper 11 is fed by feed-out rollers 15 as shown by an arrow A. When the image is developed in, for example, cyan, a developing device 14a supplied with a developer of cyan is lifted up to contact the recording paper 11 before the position B reaches the developing device 14a. The developing device 14a consists of a development part 18 which develops the latent image and a drying part 19 for wiping out an excessive liquid developer. The developer 14a is separated from the recording paper 11 after development and drying and the recording paper 11 is rewound. At this time, a squeeze nozzle 17a absorbs an excessive developer sticking on the recording paper 11 and the absorbed developer is recovered in an empty tank 22. |
