摘要 A link mechanism for opening and closing a gate on a hopper in an automatic weighing apparatus comprises a drive link pivotabiy mounted on a bracket secured to a hopper body and angularly movable by a push against the force of a spring, a follower link angularly movable in unison with the gate, and an intermediate link interconnected between angularly movable ends of the drive and follower links for turning the follower link in a direction to open the gate in response to the angular movement of the drive link, the drive and intermediate links being aligned along a substantially straight line when the gate is closed. Each of double-wing hoppers arranged in a circular pattern in an automatic weighing apparatus has a pair of gates that can be opened and closed respectively by a pair of link mechanisms mounted on one outer side surface of the hopper body. Each of the link mechanisms comprises an actuation lever pushable by a driver unit, a drive link fixed to the actuation lever, a follower link swingable in unison with one of the gates, and an intermediate link interconnecting the drive and follower links. A spring acts between the link mechanisms for normally urging them in a direction to close the gates. An attachment mechanism for the hopper includes a pair of brackets projecting from one side of the hopper body, two parallel shafts mounted on and between the brackets at different distances from the hopper body, and an attachment member mounted on a hopper attachment and having upwardly opening recesses receiving therein one of the shafts which is closer than the other to the hopper body and downwardly opening recesses receiving therein the other shaft.
