Pyridobenzothiazine derivatives with high antimicrobial activity having the following general formula:

wherein
R is H or CH3; n is 0 or 1 or 2 and Y is Cl or F,
<CHEM>
wherein R<1> is a C1-C6 alkyl
or a C2-C6 alkenyl, or an arylalkyl, arylalkylcarbonyl, alkylcarbonyl, alkyloxycarbonyl, possibly substituted with halogens or hydroxy groups.
<??>The present invention relates also to the processes for obtaining the compounds having the general formula (I). Such processes consist in synthesis routes using as starting products 3-chloro-4-fluoraniline, or 2,3,4-trifluoronitrobenzene.
