The subject of the present invention is a multifunctional and tipping wheelbarrow. A wheelbarrow according to the invention comprises an openwork cradle 7 composed of a central frame 8 and two front 10 and rear 9 frames, which diverge upwards. This cradle is hinged to the chassis about a transverse axis x x1 which is vertically above the axis 12 of the wheel and which is situated along the front edge of the central frame 8. The wheelbarrow further comprises a skip 6 which is fixed in a removable fashion to the cradle 7. It comprises a pedal in the shape of a compass composed of a stirrup piece 15 and a connecting rod 17 which is hinged to the centre of the stirrup piece 15. One application is the construction of multifunctional wheelbarrows which are easy to unload by tipping. <IMAGE>
