PURPOSE:To reduce an energy loss by coupling a fly wheel to a propulsion shaft of a car through a stepless speed change gear and a clutch, so that braking energy of the car is reclaimed to be utilized for re-acceleration of the car. CONSTITUTION:At the time of first accelerating a car from a stop state, with a clutch 10 disconnected, usual acceleration is performed. On stepping on the brake in such a condition, the clutch 10 is connected, so that a fly wheel 12 is driven at a designated speed change ratio of a stepless speed change gear 8. In case of re-accelerating the car after once stopped, the stepless speed change gear is changed in speed in such a manner as to get a speed change ratio corresponding to a car velocity, so that the clutch 10 is connected. Thus, the inertia force of the fly wheel is transmitted to a propulsion shaft to give output more than that of an ordinary engine. |
