PURPOSE:To decide on the sensitivity of a loaded film automatically by providing an electrode which has an information source indicating film speeds according to setting positions of a film to a cartridge and a means for obtaining decision data on a film speed. CONSTITUTION:A sensitivity information decision means 13 flows a constant current from a constant current source 22 through a diode D1 and a switch SB1 when a switch SC1 is turned on, and a voltage is developed at the negative input terminal of a comparator 21. The comparator 21 outputs ''0'', which is latched by a latch circuit 25. This operation is carried out up to the (n)th operation. When a switch SC2 is turned on, a switch SB2 is off. Consequently, the voltage Vc of the constant current source 22 is applied to the negative input terminal of the comparator 21, whose output is ''0''. Therefore, when a reference voltage is set to Vr1, the comparator 21 outputs ''0'' (n) times by the 1st operation for a normal film. At this time, a control circuit 26 outputs a decision signal M/A indicating an abnormal mode.
