发明名称 SINTERING METHOD USING CAST IRON POWDER
摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain a high strength and high density sintered body by mixing shavings of cast iron with low-carbon iron powder, regulating the average carbon content of the powdery mixture to a specified value, compacting the mixture, and sintering it in a semiliq. phase by heating at a temp. in a specified semiliq. phase temp. range in a prescribed atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:Shavings of cast iron are mixed with low-carbon iron powder such as reduced iron powder or electrolytic iron powder, and the average carbon content of the powdery mixture is regulated to 1.5-2.5wt%. The mixture is compacted and sintered in a semiliq. phase by heating at a temp. in the semiliq. phase temp. range of 1,160-1,250 deg.C in vacuum or a reducing atmosphere. It is preferable that said shavings of cast iron are decarburized to <=3.2% carbon content before mixing. By this method, the strength, dimensional accuracy and density of a sintered body as a product can be increased.</p>
