PURPOSE:To provide high-speed separation of printed circuit boards transported, using simple mechanism regardless of the size of the circuit board, by transporting circuit boards continuously on the conveyor, lifting only the leading board with all boards in the condition detained by a couple of stoppers, and thereupon transferring said lifted board to the takeout rail side. CONSTITUTION:To separate continuously fed printed circuit boards 7, 8 one after another, first the circuit boards 7, 8 are transported on a conveyor 6. They will be stopped by a couple of stoppers 9 to stagnate there. A separator plate 10 is inserted under the leading one 7 of these boards, and lifted to heave his circuit board 7. Upon retracting, the separator plate 10 is sunk, to allow transferring of only the leading circuit board 7 supported by the plate 10 onto a takeout rail 11. Thus a cycle of motion to separate one circuit board is completed. At this time, following boards 8 are stopped first by the end face of separator plate 10 situated on the overstream, and then put in standby condition through the action of said stopper couple 9 when the separator plate 10 has retracted. |
