PURPOSE:To perform sufficiently copy estimate control over a copying machine that many persons use by allowing a previously set number of sheets to be copied on an IC-incorporated card when a password number which is inputted with keys is correct. CONSTITUTION:An IC chip having a microcomputer and a memory in a plastic plate is embedded in the card. The card is inserted into an insertion part 4 and keys at an operation part 6 are operated to input a password number. The number of sheets set in the IC chip in the card is read by a reader 8, which generates an output 11. A control part 7 checks the password number and the operation part 6 is operated to start copying operation. A pulse generator 10 generates a pulse every time a copy is taken and the number in the IC chip is counted down. If a person who does not know the password number uses the card, copying operation is not performed, so the accurate control over the quantity of copies is performed. |
