<p>PURPOSE:To markedly increase the number of accommodated trays and a tray accommodation rate by allowing the tray accommodated into the casing of a sorter to be shifted horizontally and vertically. CONSTITUTION:The captioned sorter is equipped with the upper and lower transfer means 3f and 3r in pairs which are arranged in parallel along the front surface 1f and rear surface 1r of a casing 1 and accommodate trays 2 in multilayered form and transport them in the vertical direction. Further, the sorter is equipped with the upper and lower horizontal transfer means 5u and 5l in pairs which horizontally transfer the trays 2 positioned in the uppermost and the lowermost layers of the transfer means 3f and 3r to other transfer means 3f and 3r. Each of the upper and lower transfer means 1f and 1r is constituted by laying a revolution 13 having the supporting projections 12 for supporting the trays in equal pitch between the upper and lower sprockets 11, and each of the horizontal transfer means 5u and 5l is constituted by laying a feeding belt 17 having an engaging projection 18 for each half cycle between the front and rear sprockets 16.</p> |
