发明名称 ELECTROPLATING METHOD OF STEEL STRIP TO DIFFERENT THICKNESS BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce a steel sheet plated on both sides to different thicknesses and having excellent appearance in the stage of passing the steel strip to plural plating cells and electroplating both sides of the steel strip to different thicknesses by conducting electricity at slight current density to the electrodes to be cut of the electricity conducted thereto among the electrodes facing the thin plating surface. CONSTITUTION:The electricity is conducted at the prescribed high current density to the counter electrodes of the respective plating cells on the thick plating side of the steel strip and a metal is electroplated on one side of the steel strip as a cathode to the prescribed thickness in the stage of passing the steel strip to a horizontal electroplating installation consisting of the plural plating cells and subjecting the front and rear thereof to the electroplating to different thicknesses. The electricity is conducted at the prescribed high current density to a part of the cell electrodes in order to control the rate of the plating to be deposited on the thin plating side. The slight current necessary for preventing etching is passed to the remaining cell electrodes to be stopped of the electricity conducted therto without stopping the electricity conduction thereto at all. The front and rear surface of the steel strip are thus plated to the prescribed different thicknesses with the excellent appearance.
