PURPOSE:To identify easily the record contents of floppy disks from the outer upper surface of the disks even though these disks are put on each other, by providing a identification mark on the upper edge of the floppy disk. CONSTITUTION:A identification mark 9 put on the upper edge of a floppy disk 1 can be seen from the upper part. Thus the record contents of the disk 1 can be identified and sorted. Plural parallel fields 11 like piano keys are printed at the upper part of a lavel 10 for the mark 9. Then the mark 9 is folded at a line A-A so that the center of parallel lines cover the upper edge of the disk 1. The fields 11 are painted out or painted in a different color at different positions according to the record contents. In such a way, the record contents of the disk 1 can be identified from the outer upper surface side even in case many disks 1 are put on each other.
