PURPOSE:To detect the defective state of a transducer well by constituting a device so that the device detects that the output of a circuit which performs the reproducing processing of an electric signal does not reach a prescribed output level at a prescribed time. CONSTITUTION:If dust or the like is stuck to a stylus of a pickup 1 to make the reproduced output lower than a prescribed level and this state is continued over a prescribed period when this state can be distinguished from normal drop-out, a command signal is outputted to a driving source 10. The driving source is operated when receiving this command signal, and a notched disc 7 is rotated in the direction of an arrow P. Then, the pickup 1 engaged with a video disc 2 is pushed up by the disc 7, and a cleaning part 9 cleans the stylus while the disc 7 is rotated. |
