NOVEL DNA AND ITS USE

PURPOSE:To provide a DNA obtained by the cultivation of a specific microorganism or animal cell, and giving a polypeptide having Na diuretic activity and hypotensive activity. CONSTITUTION:A microorganism or an animal cell is transformed by a plasmid containing a base sequence coding a polypeptide having diuretic action and produced in the human atrium, and containing a base sequence participating in the development of the above base sequence. The objective polypeptide can be produced by culturing the transformed microorganism or animal cell.
