摘要

PURPOSE:To improve quality and productivity by forming the oriented films in a liquid crystal part of an arom. polyether amide resin and fixing the resin beads obtd. by emulsion polymn. or suspension polymn. by the oriented films thereby providing spacers. CONSTITUTION:Substrates 1 formed by attaching electrodes 3 and the oriented films 4 to the inside of glass bases 2 are sealed by a member 6 and a nematic liquid crystal 7 is sealed therebetween. Divinyl benzene resin beads (10mum average grain size) 5... are first dispersed at 2% concn. into the arom. polyether amide resin soln. and the dispersion prepd. in such a manner is coated by a spinner method at 1,500rpm on the glass bases 2, 2 provided with the electrodes and are dried at 150-200 deg.C. The films 4 are the rubbed to fix the plural beads 5 as the spacers. The excellent product which does not deteriorate even if temp. changes is thus manufactured with good productivity.
