PURPOSE:To enhance sensitivity and durability and to prevent deterioration of charged potential by laminating an electrostatic charge generating layer contg. a charge generating material represented by a specified general formula and a charge transfer layer contg. a charge transfer material on a conductive substrate. CONSTITUTION:The charge generating layer formed on the conductive substrate contains one of charge generating materials represented by formulae I -V in which R<1>, R<2>, R<5>, R<6>, R<8> are each 1-12C straight or branched alkyl, 7-20C aralkyl, or aryl; R<3>, R<10> are each H, 1-12C alkyl, or 7-20C aralkyl, or aryl; R<4>, R<7> are each H or the like; R<9> is alkoxy or the like; Y<1> is O or the like. The electrophotographic sensitive body is formed by further laminating the charge transfer layer contg. the charge transfer material on the charge generating layer.
