PURPOSE:To easily obtain the copy of a desired section of a long-sized original, by pressing a copy start button when the desired section passes through a pointer while the long-sized original is moved. CONSTITUTION:A CPU21 receives operating information by receiving the output of a sensor 25, etc., through an I/O controller 22 and displaying operational messages on a control panel through another I/O controller 22'. When the copying machine of this invention is started and its long-sized document copying mode is selected after a long-sized original is set, an exposure lamp moves and stops in the vicinity of the center of a platen glass. Then a drive motor is actuated by pressing a start button and carrying of the long-sized original is started. Thereafter, the exposure lamp is turned on when the section to be copied of the original passes through a pointer and, at the same time, the original is scanned. Thus the copy of the desired section can be obtained. |
