<p>PURPOSE:To equalize a thickness by measuring a thickness and a rolling load in the final two stands, and changing a roll gap and a roll peripheral velocity of each stand based on the thickness different and the rolling load different from a standard value. CONSTITUTION:The thickness at four points is measured at an object position on the same peripheray by a thickness measuring sensor 4 and a thickness meter 5 provided on the downstream side of stand 3. A thermometer placed in the vicinity of the sensor 4 measure the temperature of a seamless pipe SPi, and inputs it to an operation controlling circuit. The controlling circuit 7 calculates a difference between each thickness measured value and the standard thickness, and also calculates a difference between a rolling load and the standard value from a load cell provided on stands 2, 3. Based on the thickness difference and the rolling load difference, a roll gap of the stands 2, 3 and a roll peripheral velocity corresponding to it are adjusted. According to this method, the thickness deviation is reduced, and the thickness of a pipc is qualized.</p> |
