PURPOSE:To attain a disc check device corresponding to an error by checking three kinds of signals such as a signal corresponding to the movement of a pickup in the focus direction, a signal corresponding to the movement of a pickup in tracking direction and an information signal by means of reproduced light. CONSTITUTION:A signal relating to focus and tracking directions is checked in an optical disc check device provided with the 1st signal means obtaining a signal corresponding to the movement of the pickup in the focus direction, the 2nd signal means 14 for obtaining a signal corresponding to the movement of the pickup in the tracking direction, a mixing means 24 for obtaining an information signal from a signal detected from reflected light and comparator means 22, 23, 25 detecting whether or not any of the 1st signal and outputs of the 2nd signal means and the mixing means is a prescribed level or over. Thus, not only a defective disc due to dust adhered to a track pit but also a defect due to deformed pit in the tracking and focus direction is detected thereby improving the quality. |
