摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain an optical recording carrier having an excellent writing characteristic and durability by sandwiching an information recording material layer which consists of one metal selected from specific 12 kinds or an alloy contg. such metals by high-melting semimetallic layers each consisting of a C layer, Si layer or B layer from both sides. CONSTITUTION:The metallic information recording material layer 2 consisting of one metal selected from low-melting metals Bi, In, Sm, Pb, Zn, Mg, Ga, Sb, Te, Cd, Ag and Al having low toxicity and 200-1,000 deg.C m.p. or the alloy contg. >=1 metals is provided to 20-200nm thickness and both sides of the layer is sandwiched respectively by the high-melting semimetallic layers 3 each consisting of any among the carbon C layer, silicon Si layer or boron B layer and having 10- 200nm thickness then laser light is irradiated onto the base body 1, by which the optical information record constituting layer 4 is provided. Said layer may be made into the constitution in which the plural layers 2 are alternately sandwiched by the plural layers 3. The oxidation of the layer 2 is thus prevented by the layers 3 and the optical information recording carrier having the excellent durability is thus obtd.
