PURPOSE:To prevent the deposition of dust on an ionization electrode and a counter electrode, to prevent the generation of abnormal noises due to spark discharge, and to prevent an increase in the output of ozone by collecting dust with an electrostatic dust collecting part in front of an ion wind generating part. CONSTITUTION:An ion wind generating part consisting of an ionization electrode 4 and a counter electrode 5 for forming a high electric field between both electrodes and an electrostatic dust collecting part which is provided in front of said ion wind generating part and consisting of a charging part 7 and a dust collecting electrode plate 8 which forms a high electric field with the charging part 7 are provided in a main case 1 having an air suction port 2 and an air discharge port 3. Namely, since dust is collected by the electrostatic dust collecting part in front of the ion wind generating part, the deposition of dust on the ionization electrode and the counter electrode is controlled, and the generation of abnormal noises due to spark discharge and an increase in the output of ozone are prevented. Consequently, the cleaner can be used for a long period.
