BLOCK TYPE CONTINUOUS CASTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To provide a titled continuous casting machine which cools efficiently a billet and improves the quality thereof by unfastening and removing the blocks which are heated up as a result of use in an endless connecting frame for supporting the blocks on the unused side, cooling the blocks in a cooling zone and mounting again the blocks to the connecting frame. CONSTITUTION:The block 8 which is heated up as a result of use in the endless connecting frame 9 for supporting the block 6 is unfastened and removed when a member 19 for attaching and detaching is moved by a cylinder 10. The removed block is cooled thoroghly in the cooling zone 24 and the member 19 is moved by a cylinder 11 to mount again the block 8 to the frame. The block 6 is always kept thoroughly cooled, by which the quality of a billet 7 is made uniform and high.
