PURPOSE:To stably form the thin layer of a developing agent on the surface of a developing agent holding member for a long period, by making a sleeve to be provided at the outside of the holding member inside a developing agent supplying vessel and at least one side of magnetic field generating means in the sleeve rotatable. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic cylindrical holding member which holds a developing agent is provided to a cylindrical photosensitive body 11 and the member 12 is rotationally moved together with the photosensitive body 11. A developing agent supplying vessel 13 which supplies a developing agent to the member 12 contains a nonmagnetic developing agent and magnetic particles. A magnet 14 is fixedly provided in the rotating member 12. A magnetic blade 15 is provided near the upper section of the opening of the vessel 13 and the magnetic particle restricting magnet 21 of the magnet 14 is positioned at the upstream side of the rotating direction of the member 12 of the position facing the bleade 15. Inside the vessel 13, a nonmagnetic sleeve 18 is fixed at the outside of the member 12 and a magnet 19 which rotates in the direction shown by the arrow is provided in the sleeve 18. Therefore, the magnetic particles can be restricted sufficiently and circulated stably and uniformly and, as a result, a thin film of the developing agent can be formed. |
