PURPOSE:To decrease leakage flux and to improve recording sensitivity by providing the read-write coil and erasing coil of a narrow track laminated type head between a slider surface and gimbal surface. CONSTITUTION:A square cylindrical housing 21 consisting of a magnetic material or conductor, non-magnetic blocks 22, 31 each having a T-shaped section, the read-write coil 23, the erasing coil 24, a read-write back core 25 and erasing back cores 26, 27 are provided to a magnetic head. The coil 23 and the coil 24 can be provided between the gimbal surface and slider surface with the laminated type and therefore each coil is positioned near the gap and the recording sensitivity, reproducing sensitivity and erasing efficiency are improved. |
