6H-3,11b-Dihydrocarbalkoxy-5,7-dioxobenzo[6,7]cyclohepta[1,2-c]pyridine compounds represented by the formula: <IMAGE> wherein G is lower alkyl or halogen; R is lower alkyl, R' is hydrogen, lower alkyl, and n is from 0 to 2 and a process for their preparation are disclosed. The compounds have the property of inhibiting calcium induced contraction of the smooth muscle. |
