PURPOSE:To transmit a telegraphic message while holding a line between a facsimile terminal equipment and a storage exchange and receiving again the remaining telegraphic message at the end of transmission by interrupting the storage exchange when the terminal equipment receives the telegraphic message. CONSTITUTION:When an interruption command switch 113 informs the interruption of transmission to an interruption signal transmission circuit (INTSD)111 during the reception, the INTSD111 receiving it gives a command of interruption to a reception controller (RCONT)110. After the end of a pattern on the way of reception at present in the RCONT110 is awaited, the stop of transmission is commanded to the storage exchange (S/F)3 and a control signal for the transmission transfer is transmitted to a reception transfer circuit (INT-CONT)105 while holding the line. Thus, the INT-CONT105 informs interruption to a transmission controller (S-CONT)104, which controls the interruption transmission. After the end of interruption transmission, it is informed to a reception transfer circuit (RST-CONT)109 while the line is held to the S-CONT104, the RST-CONT109 commands the restart of reception to the RCONT110.
