<p>Synthetic monofilament(7), to form fastener elements, is supplied from one side of the wrapped bunches(1,2,3) to engage a hook on the other side. The monofilament may be passed through a carrier(5), which crosses the wrapped bunches. A front reed(10) guiding the wrapped bunches may press the monofilament to form the loop shaped elements. A forming plate on the reed may co-operate with the hook to deform a length of monofilament, and so produce the fastener elements the upper and lower element leg portion(6,9) may overlap vertically.</p> |
