PURPOSE:To evenly cremate hard-to-burn body parts such as abdomen and to facilitate to bring up and down a coffin mounting frame by making the furnace an upward incline from the near side to far side of a burner and by making the coffin mounting frame raiseable by a cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The furnace 4 in crematory is made an upward incline from the burner side 3 to the exhaust port 5 on the opposite side. A coffin 13 is mounted on a coffin trolley B with the head of a dead body pointing rearward. The trolley B is advanced into the crematory A by electrifying the trolley drive mechanism. At this time, the power cord is taken up by a reel 18. When the trolley B is set in the crematory A, an electrically-powered cylinder 8 is actuated to lift the coffin mounting frame 7 in an inclined position. The coffin mounting frame 7 in this position closes off the floor opening of the inclined furnace 4. By igniting the burner 3, the flame 14 sweeps the surface of the coffin 13, and as the abdomen and head of the dead body are subjected to the most intensive burning, the even cremation is achieved. After the cremation, the coffin mounting frame 7 is returned to its horizontal position, and then the trolley B is brought outside after being cooled down by a convertional method. |
