PURPOSE:To enable tipping of abraded tool on the machine and to prevent deterioration of machining accuracy by providing a tool fixing table approachable/ separatable against the cutter shaft of gear shaper and an inclinable tool fixing table while providing a rotatable tipping tool to the cutter shaft. CONSTITUTION:Upon machining of setting number of works, the pinion cutter 02 is moved to the upper limit to rotate the motor 6 by the number of pulses corresponding with the diameter of the cutter 02 thus to approach the grinding wheel head 16 to the cutter 02 side and to face them. Thereafter, the cutter 02 is rotated with low speed to rotate the grinding wheel 20 simultaneously, to feed the grinding oil between the cutter 02 and the grinding wheel 20 thus to lower the cutter 02 by predetermined amount through grinding feed then to perform idle grinding thus to recover the resilient deformation of the cutter 02 and the tipping device and upon completion of idle grinding, the cutter 02 is lifted to stop the rotation thus to stop the rotation of the grinding wheel 20 and the grinding oil supply then the motor 6 is rotated reversely to separate the grinding wheel head 16 from the cutter 02 thus to finish the tipping on the machine. |
